Flower Power

Hi All - I only have one more flower completed for my Grandmother's Flower Garden and here it is. I'm to the point that I have to watch my colors so that the quilt will look balanced. I'm finding that I have a lot of yellows and reds, so I'm trying to concentrate on some other colors. Guess that's the advantage of putting the quilt together as you go - you can see what colors you need to balance it out. At any rate, it's really fun and I'm still enjoying making these hexies :o)
Have a great day and keep smiling -

Hi Judie,
Some days I wish I was young again and didn't have to work for a living!! I got into quilting just as my body was giving up on me. So I don't have a really pretty one that I have ever made. Well I did have one that was my best work and I gave it to my son and daughter-inlaw. We went to their house last Christmas. The quilt was no were to be found. I ask where it was and my daughter-inlaw said Oh I gave it to a friend at church. So my son doesn't even have it. You put so much work into making a quilt, rather good or bad workmanship, you want them to at least keep it!! I really don't know what happened to it.

What a lovely block that will be! I wanted to ask you about your scotties. A friend is thinking of getting one. What are they like personality wise and what is the grooming like?
Thanks!
Micki

Yes, I love all the critters!! I will feed anything or any one who comes looking for food!!! You name it, I'll feed it. The hummers will come right up to you and then we look at eachother eye to eye!!! They will be 6 inches away form your face!!!It is a big thrill!!
